Timothy J. Dennée Architectural Historian
Tim Dennee is an architectural historian and preservation planner in the Historic Preservation Office (HPO) with extensive experience in project review and historic resource evaluation. He is responsible for reviewing projects and representing the position of the HPO before the Old Georgetown Board of the Commission of Fine Arts on all cases in Georgetown. Mr. Dennee is the Landmarks Coordinator for the HPO, specializing in the evaluation of resources for historic designation. He also serves as the HPO representative on the city’s Board for the Condemnation of Insanitary Buildings. Prior to joining the HPO in 2000, he served for seven years as a museum specialist at Alexandria Archaeology and for two years as a preservation planner with the city of Alexandria's Office of Planning and Zoning. Mr. Dennée obtained a BA in political science from Fordham University (1987), an MA in International Affairs from The George Washington University (1990), and a Masters of Community Planning with a Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation from the University of Maryland (1994). |
